Casa Marisombra is located in the gated community of Hacienda Iguana, so guests enjoy privileges as members, including the 9 hole course and Golf Clubhouse.

Whether in Nicaragua to surf, roam the beach, golf, sightsee or relax around the pool, Marisombra is a unique and memorable choice.

Guests enter Marisombra through the wrought iron gates leading into the walled inner courtyard and pool area. The design of Marisombra encourages outdoor living space, with a patio dining room and lots of open terrace with hammocks and rockers.

The air conditioned living/kitchen area faces toward the patio (with views to the ocean as well) as do the three air conditioned bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom on the second floor opens onto a spacious terrace with views toward the ocean and the inner courtyard; it also enjoys its own private balcony toward the Pacific. Sit inside the circular tower to enjoy the sounds and breezes from the ocean or climb to the third story of the tower and be at eye level with the howler monkeys.

Handmade mahogany doors, windows, cabinets and furniture; ceiling fans and Moroccan chandeliers; a waterspout, tiled chess board and volleyball net in the pool; dining room al fresco; circular "turret style" staircase to the second floor terrace; locally made banana fiber couch and chairs; and many more details make this a house unlike any other.

Only 50 yards from the white sand Playa Iguana on the Pacific Ocean, you can walk to either Colorado beach break (100 yards south) and Panga Drops (300 yards north).

Close to the beach but nestled under the forest canopy, Marisombra guests will have the best of both sea and shade.

2 meals a day 2 days a week.
