This outer island Tahitian hideaway is a true gem of the South Pacific. Far away from the crowds of Bora Bora, a visit to Rande’s Shack will give you the true feel of French Polynesia. Huahine is a place where time slows down, where there is simply one bus around the island-once a day; where the locals sell the day's catch at the dock; where you can walk through ancient Polynesian ruins by yourself and look out over the lagoon at the islands of Raiatea, Tahaa and Bora Bora in the distance.
One of two rental houses on the property, this 1 bedroom 1 bath house has a living room/dining room, private patio and is situated in a beautiful garden setting about 200 meters from the water. The home includes all cooking utensils that you need to cook with and is clean, comfortable, well-equipped, securely screened and covered to protect from the tropical rains and wind.
Days spent in Tahiti are best spent outdoors, and our guests will most likely spend more time hanging at the edge of the lagoon in Rande’s beach front “shack” than inside. The “shack” is complete with a hammock, BBQ facilities, sitting area with views of the neighboring islands, sunsets and reef passes. The grounds and lush gardens of this beachfront property are well maintained by Rande and his wife Emere who reside on the property.
"Rande's Shack is situated on one of the most incredible beachfront properties on Huahine, complete with mango trees and other tropical fruits. It is a slice of heaven overlooking a beautiful lagoon and a short walk to the picturesque port town of Fare. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Rande’s.” ~ Stephanie Tufts
