Built on two acres, Puri Uluwatu Villas are perched on a bluff overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean on the southwest tip of Bali. Located right at Uluwatu, a traditional Balinese neighborhood full of fishermen and farmers, where everyone knows their neighbors. It also happens to have one of the best waves in the world right out front.

Puri Uluwatu was conceived to accommodate a different kind of guest. Large rooms offer more space than luxury hotels and villas on the island. The villas are run on a family principle of guest service, and guests are made to feel like they are a part of the magic of Bali rather than just a tourist on holiday.

Our villas lie at the end of a 1/4 mile private gated road with private parking. We are surrounded by acres of virgin private land owned by a single family. Puri Uluwatu is a safe place for children, families and people traveling alone. Bali is all about surfing and enjoying the Balinese culture which will surround you every step of the way during your stay.

The southernmost area of Bali is known as the Bukit Peninsula. The Bukit offers limestone caves temples on top of dizzying cliffs, stretches of immaculate isolated white sand beaches, and dramatic coastline pounded by Bali’s most challenging surf.

Since the 1970s, Uluwatu beach has been a popular destination for surfers, beachcombers, and seekers of solitude. The surrounding area boasts some of southeast Asia’s best surfing beaches, and Uluwatu is considered one of the top 10 surfing spots in the world.

Uluwatu Temple

On the south coast of Bali is a whole series of sea temples. All of them pay homage to the guardian spirits of the sea, but none are more spectacular than the temple at Uluwatu.

Every afternoon at 5:30pm the Kecak (fire) dance is performed at Uluwatu Temple. It is a $5 donation per person. We highly recommend it and it is a beautiful time to take photos and see the sunset.
